LoweRiders opened its doors during a great time in skateboarding history the summer of 2002. A huge wave of enthusiasm surrounded the sport, the Summer X Games were here in Philadelphia, towns were working to get skate parks and every kid seemed to be riding one. We were ordering new decks every week!

Since then the skate scene, like other times in the past, has gone back to the core kids who truly live to skate. Like those kids, skateboarding is part of the core of LoweRiders and we will always be there to support skaters and the industry. LoweRiders staff members have been teaching skate camps in the area since we opened and we continue to work towards getting a free skate park here in Downingtown.
